District Trustee Vacancy

We are looking for a new volunteer to join the Trustee Board. You need to be aged 18 or over, but no previous experience is required, just a passion for ensuring good safe scouting is happening across Wolsey District. The applicant doesn’t need to be in Scouting at present, so if you know someone who would make an excellent trustee please let them know.

About our district: Wolsey has almost 800 young people in Scouting aged between 4 and 25 and over 300 volunteers. We are seeking a new Trustee to join the Wolsey District trustees and help to ensure that Groups and Units are supported throughout Wolsey District (4 Explorer Units and 13 Scout Groups). Among other things the trustees direct the District programme, support Groups when required, ensure volunteers have the right training, ensure that everyone meets legal requirements of Charities Commission and Scout Association.

Enquire Now: You don’t need to have had previous knowledge of being a Trustee, we will support you with that. If you or someone you know inside or outside of Scouts would like to find out more, please drop me a line.

District Kayaks - Sessions and Hire

In the district we have two fully equipped kayak trailers for groups to use. One trailer has 6 kayaks on it and the other has 8 kayaks on it. We also have one Canadian canoe.

There is a refundable deposit to use the district equipment if you are taking the trailers away to use with your group which is not part of a district supported event/session.

If you would like to use the kit with your group either with your own permit holders or would like a district supported session please contact Thomas Cresswell.
